elongation. The recycling of ITA grafts can be performed in only a selected redo CABG population, when the ITA is patent but stenotic in the perianastomotic area, when there is a stenosis in the coronary artery distal to the anastomosis, and when an interventional cardiologic approach is not feasible. Preoperative selective angiography of the used ITA is helpful to exclude proximal stenosis, to locate its relationship, and to provide anatomic details that may suggest this possible alternative approach during redo CABG surgery. In conclusion, our limited experience confirmed that the recycling of ITA grafts in redo CABG can produce satisfactory outcomes in selected patients even at long-term follow-up. References 1. Abnormal bisubclavian trunk arising from the aortic arch determined by cadaver dissection of a native dog: A case report

Congenital anomalies of the great thoracic vessels have been reported in 20% of dogs and cats. In some cases, the vascular ring anomalies remain unrecognized throughout the lifetime of an animal. This report describes a case with an unusual vascular ring anomaly (VRA) that was detected during dissection on a cadaver of an approximately two-year-old male native mixed breed dog. No history of the...

Stridor in a Newborn with Double Aortic Arch-A Case Report

Introduction: Double aortic arch (DAA) is a congenital anomaly of the aortic arch. It is the most common type of complete vascular ring. When it occurs, the connected segment of the aortic arch and its branches encircle the trachea and esophagus, leading to symptoms related to these two structures. Case Report: We present a case of a newborn baby who developed biphasic stridor immediately after...

Atypical Kawasaki Disease Presenting with Hemiparesis and Aphasia: A Case Report

Kawasaki disease (KD) is an inflammatory vasculitis. KD is classified into two groups based on clinical characteristics criteria, namely classic and incomplete. Cerebral vascular abnormality, especially arterial ischemic stroke (AIS) is very rare and unusual in KD. Here, we report a 4-year-old boy who was referred to our tertiary pediatric center with abrupt right hemiparesis and aphasia. At ad...

Unusual association of pulmonary artery sling with right aortic arch and aberrant left subclavian artery.

We present an unusual case of vascular sling, tracheal stenosis by complete cartilaginous ring, and aberrant left subclavian artery with right aortic arch that underwent successful surgical repair for the sling. These abnormalities were suspected from unusual multiple indentations found on esophagogram. Complete preoperative diagnosis was established with chest computerized tomogram combined wi...

An Unusual Presentation of Annular Pancreas: A Case Report

Abstract Annular pancreas (AP) is a rare congenital malformation resulting from failure of pancreas ventral anlage rotation with the duodenum. This leads to a ring of pancreatic tissue that envelops the duodenum. Clinical manifestations of AP most commonly develop in infancy or early childhood but can present at any age. The diagnosis of AP, usually suggested by an upper GI series or abdominal ...
